Where to Buy?
Kelsey Ale has been bombing me with ads, and I am totally sick of it. No matter how I try to block these intrusive sales ads for her books, they come via some other avenue. I do not want to be harassed while I'm chatting with my family. Leave me alone!
I will go to the library and see if it is there. I hate to buy things sight unseen. You just don't know what you are getting. If it is not there, I usually go to the bookstore and see if it is there and give it a good once over before buying it.
The recipes look awesome, but there is no nutritional info at all. I'm a new diabetic and need to keep track of my carbs. I can probably do it myself, but am disappointed that it isn't provided.
Wish I had
Read this.
I was charged for the books but never received them. Customer service stated they had no evidence of my order.
Ok I admit I didn’t buy the book but all the wingers about the lack of carb/calorie counts are missing the point. The paleo system doesn’t involve counting. So there is nothing remiss on her part.
There are not just Paleo dieters that might want to use this cookbook. I'm a Type 2 Diabetic and I have to keep track of serving size, calories, fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, sodium, carbohydrates, dietary fiber, total sugars, and protein. I love desserts and miss them, but this book can't help me enjoy them without the information my doctor wants.
Didn't even want to leave a star, but it wouldn't let me submit until I did. Seeing how she is a Nutritional Therapist & states that these recipes are good & healthy for diabetics where are the Nutritional Facts??? The most important thing in recipes. Especially for diabetics. As being a Juvenile Type I diabetic for 36 years I should know. I so wish I would have read all of these comments before I had purchased this. As what a waste it was. I cannot not will I make any of these recipes. I'm amazed that you (Kelsey the nutritional therapist) are still selling these. I would be ashamed & embarrassed if I were you.
I'm sorry to say I'm glad I am not the only one that is or was disappointed.
If I could it would be less than one, so disappointed in this book, no nutrition guide anywhere in this book....about to forget anything paleo.....
Same here. Disgusted that there is no nutritional info listed!!
Book doesn't list any nutritional information on any recipe! So sorry I wasted my money on this purchase!
exactly what I just discovered in the book I received today..so disappointed...
I wish i had read reviews before purchasing.
The deception begins long before you get the book. in the ad online, touting "free" book but have to pay "small" shipping/handling fee, they nowhere tell you what that "small" fee is--presumably until AFTER you give them your email address and begin to register for the "free" book. This is dishonest marketing; they're obviously not keying on ethical business practices. Fooey!
This book is not as advertised. It says gluten, dairy free, vegan. Only three or four recipes do not call for eggs! Paid the ridiculous shipping charge to give as a gift to a vegan. I obviously wasted my money as vegan is false advertising! Do not buy this book! Waste of money!
Wasn't worth the shipping. There's only a handful of recipes and none of which I'd make. After reviewing this cookbook and the Paleo Sweets book, I'm no longer interested in anything to do with Paleo.
Good thing I've read the reviews, won't be ordering it. "Just pay small fee for shipping "--- no, thank you. Even $13.95 seems to be waste. How can you price a book $97 if there's no nutritional info? That's bizarre...
I received the book and began to flip through the recipes. There is no nutritional breakdown of macros, no calorie count, no sugar gram count. That is of huge importance to me. She uses honey, maple syrup and coconut sugar for sweeteners but doesn't tell you why, she doesn't tell you anything at all. If I didn't have to pay to return the book I'd send it back. Because I have no clue on the macros or sugar content I won't be trying any of these recipes.
I just got my book. I was actually shocked that the nutritional information isn't there.
Not only is it important for diabetic and pre-diabetic people but for
everyone.
I am sorry I ordered it.
No nutrition values
I just got mine and wish I'd seen the post from a previous purchaser before I ordered it. NO NUTRITION INFORMATION - NOT EVEN A # like the CALORIES PER SLICE OR FOR THE WHOLE DESSERT! Kelsey's response? Go to an online calorie counter APP and figure it out! Wow! I've asked for Kelsey to send my $ back. WHY would I have to do all that work when I am ordering it from a PALEO Nutritionist? Would you think SHE would have figured these things out before she present recipes for those that are trying to EAT HEALTHY? Really? WHAT REGULAR free recipe off ANY site doesn't list at LEAST the CALORIE COUNT for a certain portion? WHY would I want to try a recipe if it's like 1,000 calories! That's important information left out & that's a LOT of work to leave to those who aren't trained from a Nutritionist who is! I would also have to figure out what ONE SLICE - versus the whole cake, pie, etc. would be. A better question is, "What Nutritionist doesn't list their Nutritional Information - CALORIES! PROTEIN CARBS, etc. on a recipe? She could AT LEAST take the list (from the back of the book) and give everyone that asks that information in a message! I'd like my $ back!
Thanks for the review. I won't waste my money. Too many other books/recipes online.
I just got my book. I was actually shocked that the nutritional information isn't there.

I am sorry I ordered it.
Also: You have to pay for shipping to get the book and then pay to have it shipped back.
That sucks
In the current online ad (it's endless), they say you get money back guarantied, and don't have to send the book back if done w/in 60 days.
