The bars are great! Tasty and filling. The customer service is terrible. They dont allow you to give critiques on their website. After an order they ask customers to review the bars but wont allow you to write anything negative.
The response from CS when you write them can be days vs 24hours. If they are growing to fast then they should slow down. Good quality doesnt replace good customer service.
If you like the bars, be prepared for slow delivery and even slower CS responses.
I had place an order on July 6th and never received it, i called several times to get an ETA and (Katherine, i believe was her name) kept telling me lies to where it will shipped out. Then after the 3rd attempt, the manager come to the phone and he was so rude that after my order was place for 20 days, i had to cancel my order due to his rudeness. THE WORST.
I am so disappointed with the customer service of this company. I have been ordering for over a year, I sell the bars in my office and I have recommended the bars to hundreds of my patients. In the past the bars have been really good quality, the macros are perfect and the ingredients are clean. I was so excited to have a bar to recommend to people, and to have myself. On this last order (over $500) I had two boxes that were missing bars, and the Mocha bars, which are usually my favorite flavor tasted awful. They taste sour, like one of the ingredients is rancid. We have now tried 4 of the mocha boxes we ordered and they are all this way. I contacted the company and I was told that it is "highly unlikely" that bars would be missing and that they tasted the batch that mine came from and that they "tasted fine." Something is very wrong with these bars, but more importantly, the customer service was awful. Absolutely no attempt to make things right. I will never again order, and I will never again recommend that my patients purchase these bars.
In response to Rebecca's review above: Your review is about your protein bars expiring. Not about the taste, texture, consistency, if it filled you up, etc. Just because your bars got moldy does not mean you should tell people to run away from it. Also, Luna and Rise bars are NOT as good (ingredient wise). They won't go moldy because they have preservatives in them! Now, on to the protein bars made by Dale.... One word: WOW. Wow to the list of ingredients, wow to the taste (my favorites are carrot cake, chocolate peanut butter, and chocolate orange crème) and wow to the texture! I wish I didn't have to wait so long to get them in the mail, but it is what it is. Dale's protein bars seriously rock!
These bars taste terrible. But more importantly, this company has faulty packaging and irresponsible business practices. We bought a box of their vanilla cashew bars. The expiration date clearly states 4/16 and the label on the bar states "Store in a cool dry place". We did just that. My children were sharing a bar yesterday and found that the bar was covered in mold and fungus. I am glad that they knew enough not eat it. I wrote to customer service and sent photos of the packaging and expiration date as they had requested. To no avail. They agreed that it reads 4/16 but took no responsibility for the expiration date being wrongly printed and also claimed that the bars had to be stored in a freezer or fridge. So why does the package state "Store in a cool, DRY place? Their message was, its your problem and wont take an iota of responsibility.
Probably illegal and potentially dangerous. BEWARE! IF they care so little about their customer, I would take their health claims with a big grain of salt.
Bars are exceptional! I travel a lot for work (190 days +) and have a severe gluten allergy. And w/o these bars I would be 170 pounds (at 5' 2''). Currently 125, It is very difficult to eat correctly (coconut oil vs vegetable oil etc) on the road and add the gluten allergy - not only is it difficult, requires strategy but expensive. I work on eating a well balanced diet and these bars are lifesavers. Only product that does not have "natural flavors" listed on their ingredients (hidden toxins). This is on every health bar, yes, including quest bars. To the previous comment above, I will take a bar that will expire quickly any day as long as its completely natural. I keep them in the fridge always. Only issue is they need to be more considerate with their customer service. They may be a small business but their approach to matters and customers who have a large access to new customers (athletes)- they lack the vision I would expect a company to have with such a great product. One of many examples- I know the start up cost for a small business can take years to get in the green. But to be charge $79.00 to overnight the bars and a little bit ridiculous. The customers purchasing the bars are the ones that need the true raw product and the ones that will continue to refer more business. However, I can imagine the cost of providing such a natural product and great isn't cheap and cheap isn't great. Thanks again Dales! Hope you consider lowering your overnight charges.
