Halo Top Ice Cream Reviews

My son bought this and I had no prior bias one way or another. One mouthful was enough. Ech.

I've been extremely impressed with the taste and texture of chocolate, peanut butter cup, and cinnamon roll. I love being able to eat ice cream on a hot day without destroying my calorie count.
With that said, some of the flavors were a definite miss for me.
I second the reviewer on here who said the s'mores flavor tastes like coconut and not like any smores ingredients. It's a very specific flavor and not at all what you would want or expect when you buy smores ice cream. That was highly disappointing and frankly kind of bizarre. I check the ingredients and there's not even any coconut in there. I was worried maybe I'd picked up the dairy free version by mistake, but the packaging says it's regular. It tastes so wrong for what it's supposed to be that I would genuinely suspect a mix-up in the factory were it not for this random other person who's complained of the same thing.
This makes me worry that some of the other, fancier flavors might be a lot worse than the more basic flavors like chocolate or peanut butter so my advice would be to stick to the single-note flavors if in doubt.

I didn't expect much coming into this experience, and my expectations were met. If you can't eat regular ice cream, then go for it. But it is NOT a comparable substitute. You can definitely tell that it's not real ice cream. I love ice cream, and this is not ice cream.

This stuff is disgusting. The caramel macchiato tastes like bacon and salt. The S'mores tastes like coconut, no chocolate, no graham cracker tastes. Its like old, frozen, ice milk. Tastes like chemicals.

Love the taste. Love the lower calories. Great for losing weight. I don't appreciate that some are two inches lower and freezer burnt

I was just recently added to a group on Facebook for people who have had or are going to have weight loss surgery. I had the gastric bypass surgery In August 2015. Since then I have missed sugar!! I love ice cream and have tried to eat it a few times since my surgery and just can't without feeling like crap. I saw a picture of this ice cream in the group I joined, so I looked up the nutritional information. I honestly thought there was no way this could be right. I Google searched where I could buy this. Luckily there's a store right down the street that carries this in several flavors. Even without tasting it, I trusted my gut and bought 3 flavors, peanut butter, oatmeal cookie and black cherry. As soon as I got home I opened the peanut butter one. Holy smokes, this was delicious!!! It has a rich creamy flavor that melts perfectly in your mouth. With this being so low in sugar, I had no problem at all after eating. I can't believe this is really a thing. Thank you Halo!! I'll be back to let you know how the other flavors are. I plan on trying them all.
