About Julian Bakery
It seems as if the everyday staples found at the grocery store are hard to find in Paleo form. Julian’s Bakery is a great source for all things Paleo; they even sell homemade Paleo bread. The ever increasing Paleo community has pushed up the demand for Paleo meal options. Julian’s Bakery even features a section with only Paleo products.

Ingredients, side effects, is it Safe?

Their low carb bread was once the culprit of many complaints made by customers who experienced a spike in insulin levels after eating it. It turned out their bread was not low carb, the calculations were done improperly. This was a safety concern, especially, for diabetics who purchased the bread because it would help control their, already unstable, insulin levels.

Outside of that issue their products are safe to eat and they list all their ingredients online so you can check for any specific allergies

Certifications:

Ever since the low carb mishap, all of their products are lab tested, in-house, for accuracy. Quality products have become their number one priority.

Cost:

Julian’s Paleo Bread flavors include Honey Cinnamon Raisin, Almond, and Coconut; each loaf cost $8.99. They last up to two weeks in the refrigerator and three months in the freezer. Breads are baked in the morning before they are shipped out; orders are filled and shipped approximately 7-14 business days from the purchase date. Orders are only shipped out on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to prevent spoiling during weekend transit.

Online Reviews/Complaints:

Julian’s Bakery was given an F rating from the BBB. Potential customers didn’t even get to try the bread because there was mold on it at the store. Customers, who placed online orders, found their bread started to mold one day after is. Paleo breads are dense and therefore much smaller than a regular loaf of store bought bread. Even though the bread may feel a little dry, putting it in the toaster and using it for a sandwich is how customers enjoy it the most.

Competitors/Alternatives:

The most reliable method to ensure all your meals are 100% Paleo friendly is to make everything yourself. While homemade breads may taste the best, simply having an alternative for the times you don’t want to bake a new loaf is always a good idea.

Where to Purchase?

You can find a retailer using the zip code search on their site, if there isn’t a retailer in your area, simply place your order online.

Very oily bars and awful customer service

I am so disappointed by this company. I ordered a box of their bars and found them completely inedible. They were covered, dripping in oil! Of course it was almond oil, but it tasted and felt horrible! I contacted them to exchange my bars. I didn't even ask for my money back! I just wanted to exchange the "Hydrobeef" bars for a box of their egg white formula bars. I have tried those in the past and loved them. They said they would not allow this, and that I needed to pay for the boxes to be shipped back and I would be re-imbursed for the bars not consumed. It cost me over $30 for the box. It cost me $13 to ship back. I am still waiting on my reimbursement... I have spend $43 on a single Julian's Bakery Bar and hated it. Please, please don't give them your money.
