Inventor Robert Seals first brought the Klean Kanteen® stainless steel bottle on the market in 2004 to provide customers with a healthy, durable and environmentally-friendly alternative to plastic bottles. It was the world's first metal hydration bottle free of the potentially harmful Bisphenol A (BPA) chemical. The company also works with like-minded partners on environmental issues and educates the public about health.

How it Works:

Klean Kanteen® makes their products with the environment and the welfare of their workers and customers in mind. These are the key features of their bottle: - Made from high-quality 18/8 food-grade stainless steel, which a strong metal that contains no harmful chemicals or toxins - Curved corners and rounded threads that make it easy to clean - Vacuum-insulated bottles that keep beverages hot for 6 hours and beverages cold for 24 hours with ice - Light weight - Durable The company has several certifications, all of which have strict standards to follow including the following: Certified B Corporation: meets high standards of accountability and transparency on social and environmental performance. Quality Management System(ISO 9001): implements requirements for training, people, services and equipment. Environmental Management System (ISO 14001): requirements that manages environmental responsibilities. Forest Stewardship Council: all Klean Kanteen® packaging from the handtags to the boxes is recycled from post-consumer waste.

Online Customer Reviews/Complaints

The bottle has high ratings among customers. Customers and bloggers love that it is durable, lightweight and big enough to put ice cubes in the bottle. There are some customers who have complained that the water tastes like metal, the colors on the bottle chips away easily and that the cap leaks for some customers.

Competitors and Alternatives:

The Sigg water bottle brand from Switzerland is a major competitor. Their bottles are also BPA-free, eco-friendly and quality controlled. Klean not so clean

i think the bottles are good quality but very simple and i always find my water tastes bad after a day or so!
