Greek Mountain tea (“Tsy-Too-VooNoo” in Greek) is made from the Sideritis plant found in the  mountains of Greece.  The plant is rich in antioxidants, essential oils and a broad range of other phyto-nutrients including flavonoids, polyphenols, terpenoids, diterpenoids, triterpenoids, alkaloids, sterols, caffeic acid and quercetin.

 

Klio produces a single varietal, whole leaf, organic, and unprocessed tea.  It is no blended with any other ingredients and is sold in whole form to maintain freshness and avoid oxidation.

 

According to their testing one ten ounce serving of Mount Othrys Greek Mountain Tea has an ORAC 5.0 antioxidant score of approximately 7,000 and approximately 120 mg of polyphenols.
