Late July is one of the most successful family operated health snack developers.  Their line of chips can be found in major retailers throughout the US, a task they accomplished without sacrificing any of their quality or nutritional standards.
 
While not technically Paleo, as they use corn and other gluten free grains as the base of their ingredients.  They are still a healthy snack using clean ingredients, and as far as store bought treats go this is one of your best options.

Ingredients and Certifications:

Late July chips are certified USDA Organic, NON GMO Project verified,  , Gluten Free, and peanut and tree nut free.
 
The main ingredients include: corn, flax, chia seeds, quinoa, brown rice, millet, amaranth.  With five out of the seven flavors being vegan. There are no artificial flavorings or preservatives used
 
While the chips are the more healthier option of their product line, they also offer cookies and crackers which are organic but not gluten free.

Is it Safe?

The chips are safe to eat and if you are not strictly following the Paleo diet can be a good snack option.  Those with gluten intolerances can enjoy the chips but not the other products offered by Late July.

This company has overwhelmingly positive online reviews and support, with over 170k likes on Facebook.  They are also proud advocates of the fight to label GMO foods found in grocery stores, a position which has gained them even more supporters from the health conscious communities.

Competitors and Alternatives:

If you are looking for healthy snacks available at conventional stores there is a limited but growing number of options including sweet potato, Kale, or mixed vegetable chips.  If you are looking for strict paleo snacks then turn to the likes of Steve’s PaleoGoods, Primal Pacs, or for the more adventurous Chapul Cricket Bars.
