Out of 6 meals ordered, only 2 were somewhat edible.
Of the remaining 4, I threw away after a few bites.
I have tried 7 other meal delivery services, this was the worst.
I am reporting this company to BBB, because they should not be allowed to get away with making it nearly impossible to cancel. Note: they don’t acknowledge e-mail’s, so you need to call. Even then my card was still being charged. All this trouble for rotten food to be delivered and not on the date they told me!! Awful customer service!! Save yourself time and aggravation!!
I had the same experience.
I cancelled the service after one terrible experience and they sent me another order 2 months later and I was billed for $74.98.
I attempted to contact customer service and was treated poorly with no resolution.
Try another service!!
I started this service this week and love it. Sunbasket sends nicely packaged preparation kits and a weekly menu. The recipes were really creative and surprisingly easy to follow. All of the food was organic and delicious. A lot of meal plan services don't let you choose your weekly meals but sunbasket lets you choose each dish. It includes tailored meal plans with vegetarian options and paleo options. So far I am very satisfied and will continue to use this service!
I tried this company for one delivery, hated it and actually became ill on the spices, and strange combinations, etc. The recipes are far too involved and not feasible for working people who can't spend over an hour in the kitchen after working. and there is a horrible lack of communication. I e-mailed them to cancel my membership which is not easy because their site does not make this an easy process. I did contact them and canceled out all scheduled deliveries explaining that I no longer wanted their service...they ask why you are canceling a delivery but still sent me and charged me a delivery a month later. The customer service people (lol) are snotty 20-30 year olds who are arrogant and not willing to assist you.

I've been doing sunbasket for a few weeks. I enjoy the food, but last week the box never came, and I wasn't notified by the delivery service. I had to call customer support, because Sunbasket didn't respond to my email. I'm hoping this isn't a reoccurring issue.
Not responding is typical. I emailed to stop subscription and they claimed they did not get it and started sending food a month later. They fused to credit my account even though this is a branch of Williams Sonoma and should be more sensitive to bad feelings and reviews.
My husband and I have prepared 10 weeks’ worth of menus so far and we are delighted with Sunbasket. The quality of the food ingredients is very high, from the meat, poultry and fish to the vegetables and condiments. We love the way the ingredients are sorted and labeled. The meals are very flavorful, of restaurant quality in taste and appearance, and are relatively simple for us to put together. We are not foodies or great cooks either, but the directions are foolproof. I think I would probably spend more money, and certainly more time, purchasing the ingredients if I had to do it on my own. And then a bottle of this and a bottle of that would sit in my pantry for a long while before I eventually threw it out. We appreciate their commitment to recycling. Hats off to the chef and everyone else who makes this possible. Keep this great food coming. We look forward to our Sunbasket each week!
