Theodent is a revolutionary product that offers a safe alternative to Fluoride based toothpastes.  The makers of this proprietary blend claim that it works better than traditional pastes and helps regrow tooth enamel.

Theodent was created when scientists discovered that a chocolate extract had a positive impact on teeth by stimulating the growth of enamel. They took the patented blend Rennou and developed a line of Flouride free toothpaste.

 

The formula acts by increasing the surface size of mineral crystals that form your dental enamel by up to four times.  This benefits your teeth because the larger crystals are better at resisting bacterial acid demineralization, the cause of tooth decay and cavities.

 

Their work is supported by two US patents, one patent pending, and research done by Tulane, LSU school of dentistry and many others.

Currently there are three versions of Theodent available.  Classic - a whitening mint toothpaste designed for the whole family.  It is non-toxic, SLS free, and not harmful if swallowed.

 

Theodent 300 is the clinical strength version of the paste containing a higher dosage of Rennou. The Kids formula has a  chocolate chip flavor and all the benefits and safety features of Theodent Classic.

For the most part online reviews of Theodent are very positive, those looking for a fluoride alternative are happy with the product and its benefits on their teeth.  The complaints that do exist focus mainly on 3 issues - the price, difficulty with the tube cap, and the taste which some have found unappealing.

As with most health care products the market for natural alternatives is growing.  There are many non-fluoride toothpaste options available, however not all are created equally as many companies still use questionable ingredients even if they have omitted the Fluoride.  Some other natural dental care products include OraMD, OraWellness, EarthPaste, and The Dirt.
