About SeaSnax
SeaSnax products are made with nutrient rich roasted seaweed; it is healthy to eat on its own, as a topping or to use in recipes. Sea vegetables are chock-full of minerals including; iodine, calcium, sodium, magnesium, potassium, iron, zinc, copper and selenium.
Underwater currents in the ocean carry minerals which are deposited and used by these plants as nourishment. Ultimately this is why sea vegetables are more nutritious than vegetables grown on land.

Ingredients and is it safe?

SeaSnax uses seaweed harvested, roasted and packaged in Korea. This type of seaweed goes by many names:  porphyra, red algae, deep purple laver, Nori, and Kim. Since their products are made with olive oil and sea salt it is a viable snack for individuals with Gluten sensitivities and even for Vegans.

SeaSnax was the first roasted seaweed snack to be Non-GMO Project Verified. Since the seaweed comes from overseas, ingredient specification sheets are used to determine the absence of GMO risk. The verification seal indicates that the product bearing the seal has gone through a strict verification process. This means the product has been produced in accordance to the consensus-based best practices for GMO assessments.

Online Reviews/Complaints:

Even though spec sheets are provided for each batch of seaweed, it only means it has been checked for GMO’s. The seaweed in its natural form is not consistent in smell or taste and some of were described as smelling fishier than others. Often times these smelly packages also came with a bad aftertaste.

Competitors and Alternatives:

SeaSnax products are a healthy alternative to other snacks which may contain preservatives, gluten, and sugar. SeaSnax are not cheap but the nutritious value and its effect on health is worth it, plus they donate 10% of yearly profits to non-for profit organizations.
